How Your Marketing Site Will Keep You In Business

Until about 2 months ago, marketing sites and strategies were about brand awareness and sales funnels. They told people all about you, your product, your service.

As we have (very quickly) moved to digital as literally the only way to do business, those sites need to not only communicate but deliver your service.

What can do you?

You can think differently. You have to.

We have to abandon the idea of how we did business and look to why we do business. Answer why do people come to you, trust you, engage with you or your product? Then build from that point.

Ask, what services can you offer that you didn't before but keeps the why in place. Examples of this are:

  • Therapists offering virtual sessions.

  • Restaurants offering family style meals for curbside pickup.

  • Accountants offering zoom webinars on COVID-19 implications. These shifts keep you in business, keep the reason you exist in your people's lives alive.

Then your website becomes a way to deliver these services.

Content becomes fresh, Zoom calls are posted, mailing lists are activated. For the foreseeable future, as long as its true and authentic, it can work. Your website becomes where and how your customers engage with you. With the sales funnel put aside, its a direct access point.

We have a very sweet time to get back to WHO YOU ARE and deliver it with refreshing honesty. Your customers, clients, supporters will all be grateful for it.

Looking at the examples above..the results are -

  • The therapists clients can still get peace of mind.

  • The restaurants customers can still get a delicious meal.

  • The accountant provides reassurance and direction and demonstrates her expertise

These are all made accessible via websites. Think outside the box.

I know it can be scary but put that fear down and have fun with what you love about your business and come from there.
